Reviewing Sleeklens – “Portrait Perfection Actions”

Few days ago I have been contacted by https://sleeklens.com/ to review their https://sleeklens.com/product/portrait-perfection-photoshop-actions/

This is a part of their https://sleeklens.com/product-category/photoshop-actions/

And they also offer professional photo editing services

https://sleeklens.com/product/professional-photo-editing-service/

It is really easy to install (they have youtube video where they explain everything), and quick to run. I have used them with Photoshop Elements 11.

Some of the actions are not compatible with Photoshop Elements 11, but I have similar problems with other actions made with Photoshop.

Before going to more details, I want to say that they were really friendly, fast and polite in replying in their emails which is nice if you are possibly interested in their photo editing services or want to buy any of their products.

They are grouping their actions in smaller groups for example “enhance tones”, portrait retouching etc.

From the base ones, I really like the one called “from Cloudy Days”. I really like the feeling the image has after applying it. Somehow makes the image look better without making it obvious that you apply an effect on it. It is more like “correction” than editing and I think I might make it a part of my portrait editing workflow.

They also have actions for web file preparation, colour correction, portrait retouch which might be useful for some people but not for me as I prefer to do my file preparation manually depending or where I will use the photo etc and I am not of a fun of retouching.

I really like the vignette actions they have, especially those that give a colour vignette other than the classical black or white. The light glow also might look nice in some of the photos (especially if it is a seaside fashion photo shooting).

Finally, my favourite part is the enhance tones actions. I do not know when and If I will return back to fashion photography shooting, but when this will happen I want to try those as they become really popular in these type of shootings.

The better way thought to show how the Sleeklens actions work is through examples. I will use three photos for these and show the before and after. They are photos I took some time ago, (I prefer to use my photos than look for photos online).

In this photo I did the following:

  • Base- From Cloudy Days (60% opacity)
